AVA PetPEP has been designed by vets in collaboration with teachers to enhance existing school programs.

Thanks to the support of your local vet and council, there is no cost to schools for an AVA PetPEP school visit involving animal care professionals.

Your PetPEP visit may include presentations from vets or vet nurses, council officers, RSPCA volunteers and representatives from other animal welfare organisations such as wildlife groups, dog obedience clubs, and guide and assistance dogs.

AVA PetPEP school visits are fully coordinated by the Education Team at the AVA and reinforce key messages including:
