Councils
- Work with local vets and schools to get your message out there
- Promote responsible pet ownership in your local community
- Strengthen community awareness of local animal laws and animal management issues
The AVA Pets and People Education Program (AVA PetPEP) is a great way to strengthen community awareness of local animal laws and promote responsible pet ownership.
Representatives from local councils and community programs, along with veterinarians and veterinary nurses visit primary schools to deliver engaging and interactive lessons about pet ownership and safety.
The program gives you the opportunity to work with local vets and get your message out there. All coordination and resourcing of the school visit will be done by the AVA PetPEP team.
They will make the arrangements, make sure everyone knows what's needed, and help you prepare your presentations. This will save you time and provide you with a cost-effective way to teach responsible pet ownership to the next generation of pet owners.
Requests for school visits are increasing all the time and the AVA needs your help now to keep providing this important community service.
