Community supporters

  • Promote responsible pet ownership
  • Demonstrate your commitment to your local community

The AVA Pets and People Education Program (AVA PetPEP) is a great way to promote responsible pet ownership in your community. Representatives from local councils along with veterinarians, veterinary nurses and other community groups visit primary schools to deliver engaging and interactive lessons about pet ownership and safety.

Involvement in this program gives you the opportunity to work with local vets and other animal care professionals to get your message out there. All coordination and resourcing of the school visit will be done by the AVA PetPEP team. They will make the arrangements, make sure everyone knows what's needed, and help you prepare your presentations.

Requests for school visits are increasing all the time and the AVA needs your help now to keep providing this important community service.

If you would like to become involved in this community education program in your local area contact AVA PetPEP in your state.
